ABOUT THE ARTIST
Welcome to Julie Rachel Designs.
Born and raised in Chicago, I was surrounded by the biggest names in the retail industry. I have always been drawn to fashion. I had worked many years in various retail settings. Although I spent many days working retail, my background is in education. I received my B.A. and M.A.T. - both degrees in education. Since high school I have taken various courses in metalsmithing and jewelry design however I am mainly self-taught.
I moved to Cleveland over a decade ago to begin a life with my wonderful husband Alex and now two beautiful daughters, Dylan and Logan.
When Dylan was an infant, I began creating jewelry to keep busy and keep up with fashion trends that were affordable. Friends started to buy from me and with a little push and lots of love from my husband so began Julie Rachel Designs.
All my pieces are carefully thought out and created with my two hands. I use only semi-precious stones and metals. I try not to create too many of the same pieces to allow my creations to stay unique and limited. Beading for me is like being a kid in a candy store. I have so much fun doing this. I hope you will enjoy wearing my pieces as much as I enjoy creating them.
